What is a 'low occupancy' discount?

What is a low occupancy discount and how do they affect my property? 

This discount is not about giving the guests a lower price. It's about selling a week which would otherwise be empty and bringing it to an affordable price level (for the number of guests), which would be otherwise too expensive.

This is an excellent discount to help larger properties attract smaller groups in periods of the year when it can be tricky to fill your property due to its capacity. There are often more searches for smaller groups/couples, and if you're priced too high, you won't attract new reservations.

For example, a property sleeping 6 guests can try to attract a couple to stay in January when very few groups of 6 want to book. 

We use pre-set rules which owners can quickly select or delete as preferred for their property.
