How to make a Provisional Booking?

Select "I'll send the money later" at payment to hold your booking for 24 hours without immediate payment.


What is a Provisional Booking?

A provisional booking holds your dates for 24 hours, giving you time to arrange payment. Useful when you need to:

  • Confirm with travel companions
  • Wait for funds to clear
  • Check work schedules

⚠️ Important: You must pay within 24 hours or the booking will be automatically cancelled.


How to Create a Provisional Booking?

Steps 1-5: Follow Normal Booking Process

  • Select property
  • Enter dates and guest details
  • Add contact information
  • Add extras (pets, vouchers, cancellation cover)
  • Click "Proceed to Payment"

Step 6: Choose "I'll Send the Money Later" At the payment screen, select this option instead of paying immediately.


What Happens Next

You'll receive two emails:

  1. "Provisional Booking" - Confirms dates are held for 24 hours
  2. "Book Now Pay Later" - Contains payment instructions and deadline


Completing Your Booking

Within 24 hours, you must:

  1. Click the payment link in your email
  2. Choose payment method (card recommended for instant confirmation)
  3. Complete payment
  4. Receive final confirmation


Critical Information

⚠️ 24-Hour Deadline is Strict

  • No extensions available
  • Booking automatically cancelled if unpaid
  • Dates released back to availability

⚠️ Vouchers Must Be Applied Before You cannot add voucher codes after selecting provisional booking.

Simply let the 24 hours expire - no charge for uncompleted provisional bookings.
