How Much Is Held? The deposit amount varies by property, typically ranging from £50-£300. The exact amount is specified in your booking details.
How Long Is It Held? Your deposit is held from the time of booking until 24-48 hours after your departure date. The exact refund timeframe is stated in your arrival instructions.
Getting Your Deposit Refunded
Step 1: Check the Property Before you leave, do a final check of the property to ensure:
- No items are damaged or broken
- All keys/fobs are returned
- The property is left in a reasonable condition (as per house rules)
- All rubbish is disposed of appropriately
Step 2: Request Your Refund Email stay@thebestofexmoor.co.uk within 24-48 hours of your departure with the following:
If you paid by bank transfer:
- Your full name
- Account number
- Sort code
- Booking reference
If you paid by card:
- Your full name
- Booking reference
- Confirmation that you'd like the refund to your original card
Step 3: Receive Your Refund
- Card refunds: Processed within 3-5 working days and returned to your original payment card
- Bank transfers: Processed within 3-5 working days to the account details you provide
